We will arrive at the retreat (you will be picked up from the Port) on Saturday afternoon, settle in, and enjoy our first dinner together that evening. 

 

Departure will be the following Friday morning.

Location: The Island of Koufonisi in the Cyclades, Greece. Think panoramic sea views, crystal-clear waters; the beach is just 10 minutes away on foot while the main town is a 30-minute walk. 

There’s a covered outdoor yogashala where we will practice. Think lazy siestas and rest and rejuvenation with the slow rhythm of Greek summer life.

 

Retreat Plan:

 

Expect to develop your Yoga Practice and feel great!  

 

• Twice-daily Yoga (Sunday to Thursday) Two classes of 60–90 minutes each, suitable for all levels, but it’s POWER yoga.

• Daily walking/jogging (optional).

• Meals: Vegetarian brunch & dinner prepared by a private chef (2 meals + snacks daily). There are vegan options/gluten free. Wine is welcome—this isn’t a detox retreat (though it could be if you want!) 

• Island Activities: Swimming, snorkeling, jogging, hiking, cycling, or relaxing by the pool or sea (perfect time to finally read that book…).

• Optional Boat Day: Explore the sea and neighbouring islands together.
• Optional Scuba diving/kite surfing day on Naxos.
• Evening Activities: A few fun organized events for the group.

To reach somewhere as unique as this, a little adventure is required!

 

Koufonisi (KOU) can be reached by boat from Santorini (TR)

Ferry: Seajet 2 or from Mykonos (JMK) Ferry: Super Jet (It's also accessible from Athens, though this is a much longer crossing.)

 

I recommend flying to either Athens, Mykonos or Santorini on Friday 24th July (returning on Saturday 1st August).

The summer ferry timetables are only released in the spring, but they will run daily throughout the summer months.

 

Due to typical ferry departure times, it won't be possible to travel to the retreat in one day, so you'll need to allow one overnight stay on each side of the retreat.

There are plenty of affordable options on the mainland and on both islands — from as little as 30 EUR per night - and it's a lovely chance to see a little more of Greece whilst you are there

 

❌ Not Included Summary of Retreat Additional Costs (Estimates)

 

• Flights: Flights: From 200 CHF - Athens - and from 350 CHF Mykonos or Santorini return. Cheaper options are available from Basel.

• Ferry: Approx. 170 CHF return (bookable in spring; 90 minutes each way) and 90 CHF from Athens (but longer crossing). For the past few years, the timetable and pricing for ferries to and from Mykonos and Santorini have remained the same. Departures are typically at 15:45 from Mykonos and 14:45 from Santorini to Koufonisi. Return trips leave Koufonisi around 12:30, arriving in Mykonos at about 14:00 and slightly later in Santorini.

• 2 hotel nights (the Friday before and after the retreat): Approx. 100 CHF total.
• Local transport: Budget for a short taxi or bus between airport, hotel, and port Taverna meal/ local meals 2 nights/boat trip (optional).
